PINEWOOD BRIEF

BRIEF:

Design a bar installment for The Pinewood Hotel symak room. The original design was built in 2004, it’s main purpose was to host corporate conferences. Take into consideration that in the last 10 years weddings and party events became 30% of the hiring, for this venue.

We spoke before of how the new concept should adhere to the new art-deco/steam punk theme of the restaraunt. Emphasis on the bar being the star of the show. Focus on creating a feature attraction, which will exhibit the drinks in the bar. 

CONTEXT:

The Pinewood Hotel is a 4 star establishment. It hosts a number of events including; corporate functions, weddings, parties, proms, BBQ’s, discos etc. The design would need to be fitting of this. Establishing a wow factor was a neccessity for this brief, whilst still appealing to the general theme and colour schemes implemented for the redesign of the room. Co-operation was key throughout. Maintaining a consistent communication with the interior designer was vital to achieve a design that is fitting for the hotel, and succeeding overall, as she was curating the entire room, my job was just to produce the bar design.
