To better understand what the competition is asking for I researched previous monotype winners. This shed a massive light on my project and gave it greater depth. Previous winners such as #doyoumindthegap had a similar intent to my project, being a movement I studied this submission. #DoYouMINDTHEGAP’ helps raise awareness of the pay inequality and uses its power to help women bridge the gap. Her campaign helped me realise the amount of depth I needed to go into to create a movement and campaign, it required a lot of individual elements coming together to form one message in a variety of outlets.
