I remember this lecture, talking through the rebrand of the Manchester Animation Festival. The main thing I learn't from this was the underlining logical semantics to it's design. The purpose behind the Bee being a symbol that represents the heart of Manchester in a modern simplistic design. Similar steps will be made in producing my poster, as I can relate the owl as being the symbol of Leeds and work with this design. Providing an identity to the festival poster will be a focal point. Showing a clear representation/link to the city of Leeds.
Manchester Animation Festival is a celebration of the animated art form.
Hosted at HOME in Manchester’s First Street complex, the festival brings one of the UK’s biggest animation hubs together and invites the international community to join us to delight in all things animated.
Animation is everywhere, from the smallest smart phone screen to the largest cinematic projection. Manchester Animation Festival unites artists, practitioners, students and enthusiasts and all those in between to savour the many and varied achievements of the animated form.
