This artwork works to put Brian Jones in the spotlight and visually depict the manner in which he was abandoned from The Rolling Stones. Whilst signifying his importance and also the bands. Sympathy for the Devil is included to not only promote one of the stones most popular tracks (which Jones made large contributions to) but also there is a hidden message within the meaning of the text. Brian Jones was publically made out to be the devil of the group, this design looks to re imagine this idealogy.
Adopting a personalised grid structure helped organise the content, it provided consistency, whilst projecting a sense of intellectual elegence. This was needed for this design specifically as, the design includes unsual and speculative letter and shape forms, which can be seen and used in a commercial sense as well. Two different grid layouts were adopted, the first is the one displayed on the right. A second grid was used to centralise the type to the image.
As a design it is not neccessarily pin pointing on a specific track or album for Rolling Stones, this piece is more of a commemorative piece, celebrating his life, but whilst also highlighting his anonymity from the band, but also his significance.
