OUR HOUSE RESEARCH ANALYSIS

There are hundreds of companies offering the products or services Our House wants to deliver. They all are my competitors. A logo can help Our House stand out from the competitors in the target market. 

By looking into similar online formats from our competitors, a better understanding can be made on how these companies brand themselves, with such a vast array of content, their brand image must correlate. 

Companies such as Highsnobiety and Hypebeast generate a lot of content on all creative news. From fashion to music and music, they have a large team who come together to upload content daily. 


From a branding perspective they have kept their logo quite simplistic, adopting a black and white colour scheme that is bold and easily read. This is because their main focal point is not their aesthetic. Companies such as this focus primarily on their content. It is essentially Sky News for a creative, the difference being, due to their content being so creative, with illustrative/decorative images, they do not need a strong sense of branding, their content paints the picture for them. Their target audience arrive on their online platforms to engage with this content. For example they are much more interested in seeing news from their favourite brands such as Supreme because they are heavily invested in the material. There is a basic understanding there that these sites are just a touchpoint for them to explore their individual creative needs.
