STRAWBERRY FIELDS BRIEF

BRIEF:

Develop a logo for Richmond Hall Care Home, for their dementia unit which shall be called Strawberry fields unit.

The nursing staff came together to come up with the inspiration for the logo, focusing heavily on The Beatles song ‘Strawberry Fields’ They want the logo to be a friendly caring sign for the dementia wing of a nursing home.

The care manager sent me some photos for ideas for the logo. You can see on the right hand side.

What is WINGS?

The ‘WINGS’ programme is the Richmond Hall approach to
caring for those with dementia. WINGS stands for the 5
key principles all Richmond staff must action when caring
for someone with dementia, they are; Welcoming,
Individuality, Nurturing, Guidance and Sensitivity. It encourages all staff to acquire a comprehensive
understanding on dementia and how to effectively
communicate with those who have dementia, with the
aim to nurture the person behind the illness. The logo needed to clearly visually represent these ideals.
